As a first-time mom, I embarked on the exhilarating yet uncertain path of pregnancy and birth. Despite an okay pregnancy journey, around the fifth month, an unfortunate encounter during a doctor's appointment left me feeling disheartened and poorly treated. It was at this pivotal moment that I sought a different path, leading me to a remarkable midwife who became a beacon of hope and empowerment.

This incredible midwife, whom I was introduced to during my very first prenatal appointment, had recently ventured out to establish her own practice in midwifery. Entrusting my care to her was one of the best decisions I made for myself and my baby. Her unwavering support, expertise, and compassionate care not only shaped my positive birth experience but also ignited a fire within me.

It was her belief in my knowledge and dedication, rooted in the extensive research I undertook during my pregnancy, that planted the seed of possibility - the idea that I, too, could someday become a midwife. However, it wasn't until two years post the birth of my son that the calling to redirect my path became undeniably clear.
